On the first week Vicky and Tina introduced us to all of the games we were going to play.
Week 1
They told us the maths topic, our topic for the first week was time, our athletic topic was relay races. We had to solve the time questions and then we had to race against each other.
Week 2
Vicky and Tina told us our maths topic for week two which was long multiplication and sprinting. There was long multiplication with a colour to your answer and you would have to get the beanbag that had that colour and we would run around all of the beanbags in the centre once. When you got back to your team you had to run in and get the colour beanbag that was in your answer. The first team to get all of the beanbags won.
Week 3
The third week was money we had to work out money sums and there were hula hoops with numbers in them. You had to try and get the closest amount possible. We got them by throwing javelins into the hoops. Tina and Vicky always helped us and explained things to us. That week was one of the most fun weeks. The group with the closest amount won.
Week 4
The fourth week was place value and shot putt. Since we were indoors we threw bean bags into hoops that had 1000, 100, 10 and 5. What we had to do was solve the problem of place value then we had to throw the bean bags in to hula hoops. It was sooooo much fun .
Week 5
Week five was multiplication and hurdles, we would have to solve a multiplication sum and run and jump over hurdles and pick up a beanbag and bring it back to your team. As usual the first team with all of the beanbags and sums right won!
Week 6
Week six was the funnest of fun. We were doing multiplying fractions and high jumps. The high jumps weren't just high, they were ginormous. We multiplied fractions then had to jump over really high jumps. I really enjoyed it but sadly that was the end of mathletics.
