Good morning Rang a Cúig,
I hope you're all keeping well today.
I am sitting here at my kitchen table with the door open listening to the sounds around me, I can hear the birds singing, Indie is pattering around, I can hear a baby babbling away in another garden and some children chattering to each other, there is a fly buzzing around my kitchen and there is the occasional car driving past. It is so lovely to hear all these sounds and sometimes it is really nice to just stop what we are doing and tune into the sounds around us. Why don't you take some time out today to tune into the sounds you can hear around you?
Speaking of tunes, one of the tasks I suggested you could do last week was to listen to the song A Million Dreams from the film The Greatest Showman (if you haven't seen the film, it's a beautiful story with some really lovely songs and music, perhaps you could watch it with your family over the weekend). I suggested that perhaps you could write your own song or poem about your dreams. Some of you did this and I just wanted to share some poems and a song Lauren, Kacey and Yosr wrote. Click on the image to read the poem or song.

Aren't they lovely poems and songs? What a talented bunch you are. Maybe we'll see some of you on the Eurovision in years to come.
Since we are talking about songs and music today, I want to share this song with you. It's one of my favourites but I hadn't listened to it in a while and then I heard it the other day. I thought of all of you as I listened to it. Listen carefully to the words in it, it's a particularly nice song for the time we are living in right now, and it might remind you not only how wonderful you all are, but how you should pass that Light of Wonder that shines in each of you on to others. There is a line towards the end that says "This is a message from Cabana", as you listen to that line, change it in your head, or as you sing along, to "This is a message from Ms Cheevers".

I hope you enjoyed the song and maybe it put a smile on your face as you listened to it. Maybe you'll be inspired to pass that Light of Wonder that's in each of you on to someone else today, make someone else smile and feel wonderful.
Have a lovely day Rang a Cúig and remember to stop for a moment, close your eyes and listen to the sounds around you.
Take Care and Stay Safe,
Ms Cheevers
