How are you all doing this morning? It is ANOTHER beautiful day, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, my pets are not fighting, how long will this peace and quiet last I wonder?
Do you remember how I mentioned in yesterday's blog that Ruben had probably gone to beg one of the neighbours for ham and a belly rub? Well...when I was taking Indie out for a walk later on, I met 6yr old Ella who lives two doors up from me. She told me that Ruben had visited her and that she had given him belly rubs and...milk! He's such a cheeky cat, I bet he has gone back up there again this morning for more. Lola is fast asleep somewhere and Indie is lounging in her sunspot by the front door. She lies there sometimes waiting for the postman. We had to put a postbox on the wall outside the front door as Indie goes hysterical, literally barking mad, when the postman comes along. And when they used to post the letters through the door she would grab them from the letterbox and throw them around. Not only would it give the poor postman an awful fright but our mail would end up with Indie sized teeth marks in it. So now she still goes barking mad but the postman is safe and so is our mail. As for Pip, she has just come in for annoying the dogs next door and now she is looking for cuddles. Pip loves her cuddles in the morning, and will walk around my legs tripping me up until she gets them. Here she is having her cuddles just now.

Of course, Pip being Pip, she goes from sweet and cuddly to bold and mischievous very quickly. Since I took that photo less than five minutes ago, she has already been eating Ruben's food, annoying Indie and chewing my headphones. She is definitely the Annoying Little Sister of the family!
You may or may not be glad to hear that I won the walk battle yesterday evening with Indie. It was a very close call, and I nearly gave in a few times when she got stubborn and wouldn't walk but I proved to be more stubborn and picked her up again and carried her several times. Eventually, after about ten minutes of looking strange carrying this very spoiled puppy along, I put her down and she sauntered along without a care in the world for the rest of her walk! I think sometimes she does it to wind me up, she knows she'll get treats and get carried. Just look at this face though, how can I be expected to resist such cuteness?

We met Kacey yesterday too, she was out on her bike and I was attempting to walk Indie for the first time in the day, I gave up that time and came home. It was later on that I bribed and carried her, so I suppose it was 1-1 yesterday if I'm being honest.
It was lovely to see Kacey, we had a quick chat making sure we kept our social distance and then she went back on her bike and we went home. Lauren was also telling me that she has been keeping up with her Brownie group through Zoom and has earned some new Brownie badges - a matchbox badge (she managed to fit 29 things in a matchbox), a writing badge, a birdwatching badge and a wildflower badge - well done Lauren, she is busy today putting together her new trampoline. Adam sent me a terrific World War I timeline that he put together on his computer, Katie sent me a lovely picture of her dog and told me she takes her for walks in the woods, Aneta continues to write her story and leaves me on a new cliffhanger every week, Quillan made a movie as part of his inventions project - I think we will be seeing him at the Oscars some day, Sam is having great fun playing on his bouncy castle & slide - he put a pool at the end of it with washing up liquid in it, it sounds like great fun and Daniel invented some Goggle Wipers for when he is out biking, I think this would be a great invention for anyone who wears glasses.
Rang a Cúig, you all came up with the most terrific inventions and ideas, it was great to see what a creative bunch you are. I hope you are enjoying working on your Passion Projects now, I really look forward to seeing these and to learning more about what your passions are.
It is so lovely to hear from you and to hear about all the things you are doing. It is great to hear you are doing your work as best you can and also staying active and getting out in the sunshine.
Have a lovely day Rang a Cúig,
Take Care and Stay Safe,
