Good Morning Rang a Cúig,
We're heading off on our last virtual tour today. Did you figure it out from my "Out of this World" clue yesterday? I hope you have your spacesuits ready because we are blasting off into Space.

Did you know that there was a dog who travelled to Space? Her name was Laika, she was a mixed-breed dog and she was the first living being in Orbit. She was launched on the Soviet Union's (we know it as Russia now) Sputnik 2 mission in November 1957. I don't think Indie would make a very good Space Dog somehow. She likes her comforts too much and she wouldn't like being that far away from me.
Speaking of Indie, I have some photos to show you from our walk today. Let's just say I'm not sure which of us was the most stubborn, I just know I wasn't giving in.

So, perhaps you can guess from these photos just how this walk went. Now, if you notice, I have put captions on the SpaceX and Laika photos but I have not put captions on these photos.
Here is a Challenge for you: What I would love you to do is come up with some captions for these photos of my walk with Indie. Send them in to me and I will add them to the photos tomorrow evening. Imagine it's a cartoon, what would you put in the speech or thought bubbles? I would love to know what you're thinking, or should I say what you think Indie or I might be thinking.
I hope you are enjoying the trip to NASA and the International Space Station today. Did you watch the clips about Brushing you Teeth or Washing your Hair in space? I thought they were really interesting, I had never really thought about how you would do these simple every day tasks in space. Would any of you like to travel to Space? Maybe one of you could be the first Irish person in space.
Get a good rest over the weekend Rang a Cúig, we are going to be very active next week with our Schools Sports Week. It's such a shame we couldn't have our sports day this year but we have lots of fun activities and challenges for you to try at home instead.
Have a great day and a lovely weekend,
Remember we still need to be doing our social distancing and making sure we wash our hands thoroughly and regularly,
Take Care & Stay Safe,
Ms Cheevers
