Dear 4th class,
I hope you are keeping well and staying safe during our school closure. My name is Ms. Caulfield and I‘am your new teacher for the rest of the school year. I hope you are keeping well and I am really looking forward to meeting you. I have heard that you are a fantastic class and I am very excited to be your teacher.
I know it is a strange and confusing time. I also know it is very hard for you to stay at home all the time and to be away from your friends. I just wanted to check in with you and let you know that I am thinking about you and hoping that you are ‘being the best you can be’ at home.
I would love if you could do some reading each day. It is also very important to do some house work and be as helpful as you can.
Get as much exercise as you can (at home) and don’t spend too much time on your tablets or phones! Try to get outside to your garden to get some fresh air if you can!
I will be sending home some school work for you to do at home after Easter. I will be including some Project Work in the work I send you after Easter. Be as creative as you like. You can present the Project in whatever way is best for you – as a poster, in a scrapbook or in your copy .You could then take photos of these and send them in for the school website.
If you are finding any of the work difficult, let someone know. They can contact me and I will try my very best to help you. I would love to see some of your lovely work on the ‘Our Work’ page of our school website. I also look forward to reading your news, stories and book reviews in the ‘Newsletter’ page on the website.
We don’t know yet when we will be back to school but I can’t wait to meet you and get to know all of you.
In the meantime, let’s all do our bit to stay safe and healthy – Wash your hands, stay at home and remember the rules of social distancing.
Best Wishes,
Ms. Caulfield
