Dia dhaoibh rang a 3!. Tá súil agam go bhfuil sibh go maith agus ag baint taitneamh as na laethanta sa bhaile. Tá an ghrian imithe inniu ach b'fhéidir go mbeidh na bláthanna sásta le beagáinín báistí. Is dócha go bhfuil tart oraibh tar éis an tréimhse tirim.
Hello third class!, I hope you are all enjoying the days at home. The sun is gone today but maybe the flowers will be happy with a bit of rain. I think they may be thirsty after the dry spell.
We went to the woods today for a walk and made some tree faces. We had made playdough last week had some left over and used it as the base for our face. We loved how they turned out and hopefully they will bring a smile for other walkers too!

This time of year you see an abundance of this flower, 'The Foxglove' or 'lus na sionnach' as Gaeilge. Aren't they beautiful! I always imagine them to be like soldiers standing guard in the woodland. I saw a whole patch of them the other evening and indeed they looked like an army!
They seem enchanted to me; it is believed that the gloves do indeed belong to foxes and that fairies gave them to the foxes to put on their paws to enable them to sneak silently into the hen house without being heard. Some believe the spots on the inside to be fairy fingerprints! Another tale goes that the bell-shaped flowers would make a magical noise when rung and the fairies taught foxes to ring the bells of foxgloves to warn other foxes when a fox hunt was nearby.
I think they are stunning and this one I saw today has inspired me to get drawing! Will keep you posted on that!

Did you have time to do your 'rainbow moments' today? I did and it reminded me of all the good things I have in my day to help me to feel good. I don't want to take these things for granted, so I am posted this up on my fridge to remind me of how lucky I am.
We found a kindness rock in our woods today...I forgot to take a photo but it said "I'm hungry......." and had a picture of a shark eating some smaller fish!!!! Im not sure how kind the little fish would consider that but it made us laugh a little and we were glad of the that!
Just a reminder to get involved in the art project 'Le chéile agus óna chéile'. We would love to have all pieces back by tomorrow but will take them right into next week.
The staff are doing theirs on handprints while pupils are doing theirs on a rectangle. I got mine done......take a look! I think this project will look amazing when done and will send out a very strong message about the amazing children in our school but we need EVERYONE to get involved. It is a lovely way to stay connected!
