- Reading as much as you can! Sounding out unknown words, identifying letters, sounds, words and punctuation.
- Oral language: Everyday conversations, asking who, what, why, how and when questions. Discuss a trip to the park/playground.

- Writing: Free writing – stories, poems, songs, news, diary etc.
- Revise counting, count everyday things, skip counting in 2’s, 5’s and 10’s.
- Revise addition and subtraction up to 20, including doubles – 5+5, 6+6 etc.
- Spatial awareness -beside, on top, underneath, left, right etc. play Simon says, create an obstacle course together or separate and use appropriate language to guide through the course. Play and dance to “Cha Cha slide” by DJ Casper (link in Aladdin work).
- Capacity: Explore what objects holds more or less liquid. What would be better to fill a bath with water a spoon or a bucket? Etc. Compare objects, which would hold more than a mug? Use the phrases ‘holds more/ holds less’ Show them a 1Litre bottle, get them to draw/name/ list items that would hold more than 1Litre and items that would hold less than 1Litre.

- Draw a picture of your ‘Teach’ – (house) the outside and turn the page over and draw the inside layout. Try label the rooms or objects that you can!
